Labor Certifications will Expire after 180 days

On May 17, 2007, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) published a final rule affecting Labor Certifications.  Among other things, the final rule provides that all approved Labor Certifications will expire 180 days after July 16, 2007, unless it is filed in support of an Immigrant Petition (I-140).  Labor Certifications approved after July 16, 2007 will expire 180 days after the Labor Certification is approval, unless it is filed in support of an Immigrant Petition (I-140).
