Medium and Large U.S. Companies with 50% of its Workforce on H1B, L1 or L2 Visa Must Pay a Higher Filing Fee
On August 13, 2010, USCIS announced that, effective immediately, USCIS now requires an additional $2,000 USCIS filing fee for H1B petitions, and an additional $2,250 USCIS filing fee for L1 and L2 petitions filed by companys which employ 50 or more employees in the United States with more than 50 percent of its employees in H1B, L1 or L2 status. This applies to the initial grant of status, as well as to petitions for a change in employers. See, Public Law 111-230
