P Visas
P-1 visas are available for athletes, either individually or as part of a team, if the team is "internationally recognized". It is also available to group entertainers who are an integral or essential part of an entertainment group. The entertainment group must be recognized internationally as being outstanding for a sustained and substantial time period. Performer seeking the visa must have been performing with the group, or had a substantial relationship with the group, for at least one year.Performers who are not members of a group, actors and solo entertainers may be eligible to apply for an O-1 visa.
