On July 30, 2007 Filing Fees Increase Substantially
USCIS has announced filing fee increases beginning July 30, 2007. Click here for details. The new fee increase will not take effect until August 18, 2007 for employment-based applications for Adjustment of Status and accompanying applications if the employee has a "priority date" on or before July 31, 2007 (except for the "EB-3 Other Worker" category). The "priority" date is determined by USCIS based upon the date the underlying Labor Certification was filed with the Department of Labor or, if no Labor Certification is required, the date the Immigrant Petition was filed.
